1974 Volkswagen Crew Cab Transporter For Sale

1975 VW Crew Cab Transporter, fully restored LHD – 42k miles recorded. First registered in 1975 in Sweden and imported into the UK 2007. The VW was bought by a Greek Cypriot who was a huge VW fan. A restoration project was undertaken with no expense spared but one sadly, due to terminal illness, he never saw finished. It was later sold to D&S Minis and, for many years, it stood as an uncompleted restoration project. Keith Hanby, enquired about this VW crew cab with the owner of D&S Minis that he noticed parked up in a corner of a garage workshop. Reluctantly, D&S Minis sold this VW Crew cab and its journey to being put on the road once again begun. Originally painted green from the factory, the colour was, at some point in time, changed to suit the needs of one owner, a Volvo dealership in Sweden. It was later re painted in Velvet Green VW L512 a colour used on earlier split screens. The inner sides of the drop sides have been finished in chequer plate. The engine has been rebuilt by Megabug and drives extremely well. The VW crew cab comes with all the fittings and tonneau cover finished in cream. The interior has been fully restored including the headlining. In the last few years during the past owners custodianship, this VW crew cab has only covered 400 miles.
